Our products
Multirec Oy databases use the ATC code (Anatomical Therapeutic Chemical), the WHO standard
for the classification of drugs.
MR drug register
The MR drug register contains the recommended indications for various drugs coded according to
the WHO ICD-10 classification. This complete register of drug products available in Finland produced
by Multirec Oy is based on material from the Association of Finnish Pharmacies and
The Social Insurance Institution of Finland, constantly updated and commented on by our expert team. Drug package
information is given with ATC codes and Nordic article numbers (Vnr).
The MR drug register is widely used in municipalities using Logica Finland's Pegasos and Graphic Finstar systems, covering 60% of the total Finnish population.
Pharmaceutical interaction database
The interaction database is based on the Swedish-Finnish Interaction X-referencing (SFINX) database
updated quarterly by Medbase Oy The material is available
in Finnish and in Swedish.
The SFINX database contains brief, concise and well-substantiated data on more than 4300 pharmaceutical interactions. Used with prescription software, for example, SFINX facilitates real-time choice of safe medication for each patient and guides the physician in choosing appropriate medication to avoid interactions. Interactions are classified according to their clinical significance and the level of documentation. The SFINX database is updated every three months.
MR-DLE knowledge base
The DLE (Drug Laboratory Effect) knowledge base can be used to avoid unnecessary laboratory
tests or to find explanations for unexpected results, to name just two examples.
The MR-DLE contains data in English on the effects of drugs on laboratory results. The knowledge base is maintained by Multirec Oy in cooperation with experts at Turku University Hospital. This knowledge base is unique in Europe and available on our Internet server under personal IDs. Drugs can have various effects on laboratory results. Some are the desired effects, i.e. those typical for the mechanism of action of the drug. However, due to their mechanisms of action drugs also regularly have well-known effects on biometric information other than that reflecting the target of the treatment. In addition, drugs may have irrational unforeseen metabolic effects seen in laboratory tests. In addition to such biological (in vivo) effects, drugs and their metabolic products may interfere with analytical methods and thus have various in vitro effects.
MR SPC database
SPC-database is an at least monthly updated collection of valid Summary of Product Characteristics
for the appropriate drug in the prescription program can be accessed rapidly and easily. The database
contains the SPCs for all drugs available in Finland, with links to the MR drug register. We deliver
the continuously updated material to our clients as pdf documents once a month.
